It's a sad day in my opinion. I can see where it certainly makes sense for GR and I definitely don’t blame them for choosing not to participate. It’s just sad that creativity and fun falls to corporate control games. I doubt many if not all of the employees at WotC and GR are happy about it either.

Thanks, Chris, for deciding to stay away from 4e/GSL. I don't think it's the correct medium in which to produce your products. I like them the way they are, personally, and am glad they're staying the way they are!

I think we own every true dungeon and MM product, and would have been disappointed if green ronin had switched to a product that , in itself, is the opposite of the role playing spirit of true 20 and M&m.; If there is one place where a tactical board game does not work well, its in a superhero game where players can move 200 miles a second. I feared that if the product switched, it would be more like wizkids line of games than the rpg we love.

For what it is worth, as a gamer, I think you are on exactly the right course. Wizards is essentially dead to me.

Of all my RPG purchases since the 4th edition rules came out, exactly three have been Wizards (PH, MM, DMG.) Green Ronin has been the recipient of the vast majority of my gaming spending (with Paizo making up most of the rest) and I can't realistically see anything changing there.

Why, just today, I came home for lunch and found Freedom's Most Wanted in my mailbox. And hopefully I will be getting the Warrior's Handbook soon.

I couldn't tell you what the most recent D&D; book is.

Chris,

any chance for a follow up product to Black Company? I know that the original license does not support any continuation, however something Freeportish in style and compatible with the setting, would be most appreciated. As it is, I wish for more development for this particular Mythic Vistas product.
